Show Us the Monet
The Alliance has always made bringing art to the people of the Garment District one of our top priorities. Last week, the people of the Garment District brought art to us.
On Thursday during lunchtime, we placed an easel on Broadway right next to the statue of Claude Monet, part of the Seward Johnson in New York exhibit on the plazas this summer, and invited any and all who passed by to step up to the canvas and show off their artistic side. Many were interested, but not confident enough in their painting ability to give it a shot. However, as you can see in the above slideshow, a number of brave artists grabbed a brush and gave their own water-colored impression of the view up Broadway.

If you missed the first open easel session, do not fret! There will be another one coming very soon.
