Summer Starts Early in The Garment District
You can skip the parking lot known as the Belt Parkway. The Rockaways have come to the Garment District.
Rockaway Beach continues to draw NYC residents, attract travelers, and captivate hotel investors, as the new hip neighborhood following its rebirth from Hurricane Sandy. In honor of the Rockaways and the start of spring, NYC’s Refinery Hotel celebrates with one of Rockaway Beach’s favorite local haunts, The Bungalow Bar, through a pop-up lobster shack from April 6 – May 1.
Located in the hotel’s sidewalk level venue, Hatbox, the first ever Bungalow Bar pop-up (open from 4-10pm) will feature a Rockaways themed menu, including a lobster grilled cheese, along with cocktails like spiked frozen hot chocolate and frozen pink lemonade. Beer, soda and small bites will also be available.
The pop-up, made to look like a seaside shanty, will also feature an ordering window, high-top tables, flat screen TVs playing old surfing movies and sunsets over Rockaway Beach, buoy lights, wooden walls, photos of Bungalow Bar, and sand on the floor.
If we had to put up with Winter for as long as we did, we have every right to start Summer early.
