Music has often been used as a background for yoga, massage and exercise, but music can also be the focus of meditation practice. Jazz as an art form is based on being completely focused in the present moment. Jazz musicians do this by being aware of their surroundings and harmonizing with the other musicians as well as the mood of the audience.
